This policy covers the Hug & Harbor app and Alexa skill. In short: we keep what's needed to run your family's plan, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.
Hug & Harbor is set up and managed by a parent or guardian. Kids use it under that grown-up's account; we don't ask kids for an email, last name, photo or any contact details.
If you use the Alexa skill, Amazon sends us what was asked (for example "what's on today" or "I made my bed") along with an anonymous ID for your Amazon account. We never receive voice recordings, your name, address or Amazon account details.
To connect Alexa, Alexa reads you a 6-digit number that a grown-up types into the app's settings. That links the anonymous ID to your household so Alexa can read your plan and record what you ask for, like a finished chore or a new to-do. Chores finished by voice still wait for a grown-up's OK if you have approvals turned on. You can disconnect Alexa anytime in Settings → Alexa, or by disabling the skill in the Alexa app.
Only to run Hug & Harbor for your family. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or show ads.
Cloudflare hosts the app and stores your household's data. If you connect Peck & Plate, Hug & Harbor reads your planned dinner from your own Peck & Plate account.
If you use School to read a photo, screenshot or school email, that image or text is sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) only to find the homework, dates and notes in it. It isn't used to train their models, and we don't keep the photo; only the items you approve are saved to your household. If you set up the optional Gmail helper, it runs in your own Google account and sends us only the emails your search picks.
You can edit or remove anything at any time. To delete your household and everything in it, email [email protected] and we'll remove it.
